关于树人

Shu Ren’s Mission

Shu Ren is a nonprofit 501(c)3 supported through membership dues, grants, and fundraising activities to provide cross-cultural learning opportunities for MIP students and families at Woodstock Elementary School, Hosford Middle School, and Cleveland High School, although most events are open to the wider Portland immersion communities. Shu Ren is governed by a board of directors comprised of current MIP parents.

Goals of Shu Ren

Shu Ren’s main objective is to support and inform MIP students and families. Our events include general meeting workshops, the Dumpling Festival, and a Spring Event hosted by the 7th grade class. Parent groups organize a number of smaller initiatives throughout the year and Shu Ren provides fiscal management for funds raised. We also organize after-school Homework Help, advocate with PPS, provide grants to teachers for Chinese-related classroom supplies and field trips, and help organize the visit from our sister school in China.

树人的目标树人做什么？

树人的主要目标是支持和通报MIP的学生和家长。我们的活动包括学习大会，及7年级班级举办的饺子节及春节活动，全年中家长团体由树人提供财政管理和公募基金举办一些小活动。我们还组织课后作业辅导，和PPS倡导，提供赠款给教师购买与中文相关的教室用品和实地考察，并帮助安排参观我们在中国的姐妹学校。
