An excellent tool to use over the Summer! Game 1: Snap! Hold Flashcards and show chinese character to child(ren) if they correctly identify the word they get to keep the card. If there are multiple children then the first to shout out the meaning gets the card. If there is a tie then the first to come up with a sentence using the word gets the card. If no determination can be made add the card back to the deck. Game 1: Create Sentences Have child pick three cards from stack of flash cards. Have them make up sentences using one or all of the terms. Can assign point values, such as, creating a sentence with one word = 10 points, two words = 25 points and all three words in a sentence = 100 points. Do not worry if you can not verify if the sentences are great sentences. The mental exercise is enough for now.
