Shu Ren of Portland

Shu Ren of Portland, Inc. is the parent support group for Portland Public Schools' Mandarin Immersion Program. The purpose of Shu Ren is to provide a network of communication and mutual support among parents, and to contribute to the program's success. All immersion parents and guardians are encouraged to actively participate in Shu Ren.

The purpose of Shu Ren is to provide a network of communication and mutual support among parents, and to contribute to the program's success. All immersion parents and guardians are encouraged to actively participate in Shu Ren. You can become a Shu Ren member by printing completing a membership form or filling it out online. Membership entitles you to run for the Shu Ren Board of Directors, vote in the Board elections (May) and vote on other important business. Membership must be renewed each year. Each parent's or guardian's name entered on this form is considered a Shu Ren member. Your contact information will also be used to create a Woodstock School student/family directory. Copies of the student directory will be distributed to all Woodstock families for personal use only. Specify on the form or while filling out form online if you do NOT want to be included in the directory. Please consider making a contribution to financially support the Mandarin Immersion Program and Shu Ren. The suggested annual voluntary family donation is $25.00 per year. All contributions are tax deductible. If you fill out and make a membership donation online you can print a receipt for your taxes at the end.
